Before the investor sends money to South Africa all requirements of the South African Reserve Bank have to be met. Depending on the investment structure certain approvals need to be obtained from the Reserve Bank. The classical structure is a loan from the investor to a local company. Such a loan needs to be registered as a foreign loan with the Reserve Bank. If the necessary requirements are not met, the Reserve Bank can refuse their approval for the repatriation of the investment at a later stage.

We secure the foreign investment by submitting the necessary applications to the Reserve Bank through their authorized dealers and obtaining the relevant approvals before the investment is transferred. We also submit the applications for changes or previous investments which had not been registered as required.
